Position Overview

This position is primarily responsible for supporting and assisting the Practice Manager and Chief Strategy Officer with administrative tasks and projects, as well as coordinating Practice Management activities.  This position will work closely with our Scheduling, Medical Staff, and Medical Billing departments located in Ohio.

 

Essential Functions (Including, but not limited to):

*Work with Practice Manager and Recruiters to gather necessary credentials from physicians and other clinical providers to complete hospital application and medical staff appointment process at various facilities

*Manage physician and advanced practice provider scheduling to meet the needs of the hospital or other facility as well as the contractual arrangement with provider

*Distribute all incoming faxes, phone calls and mail for the Florida office

*Communicate with pharmacies regarding discharge meds and other questions

*Assist with orientations, activations, deactivations and associated paperwork for clinical providers in Florida

*Work with Practice Manager to schedule orientations, process death certificates, send surveys, create contract addendums, manage APP collaborative agreements, maintain PCP referring lists, and manage office supplies for Florida employees

*Greet guests in Florida office in a friendly and welcoming manner

*Plan, organize, and participate in the new provider orientations for Florida with assistance from Executive Assistant in Ohio

*Communicate with Florida clinical providers regarding meetings, trainings, expiring credentials, etc.

*Review patient census / charges entered daily and reach out to providers who are delinquent to collect necessary information for the Medical Billing department

*Other operational duties as required, including on-call duties

 

Requirements

*Associate's degree in healthcare management, business or related field; experience will be considered in lieu of degree

*Familiarity with medical billing guidelines preferred

*4-5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

*Proficiency with MS Office software with the ability to learn new software quickly

*Must be able to multi-task

*Effective communication skills a must

*High degree of confidentiality
