Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Nurse Director for Cancer Services for our Medical Center.
-Candidates must have management experience specific to Cancer.
-This position will be responsible for overall growth and performance of Cancer Services at our Medical Center, Infusion Center, and Hospital including cancer registry, cancer research and inpatient oncology.
Cancer Infusion Center – The unit specialty is adult outpatient oncology services. It is a 18 chair outpatient unit and 5 treatment rooms with a planned expansion in the future to better serve the needs of our community. Types of patients include patients with a primary diagnosis of breast cancer, lung cancer, lymphomas, hematological disorders, and leukemia. Other services include: blood transfusion, lab draws, injections and fluid hydration. We participate in clinical trials and are accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for overall growth and performance of Cancer Services within the Health System. The Director will work closely with physicians and other cancer care professionals to enhance service delivery to patients in the continuum of care that aligns with the mission and vision of the Cancer Service Line.
The Director is responsible to oversee the development, growth and integration of services that bring the various multidisciplinary specialties and departments into an effective operational and care continuum that matches the episode of
care experienced by the patient in coordination with the Cancer Institute.
In collaboration with leadership, the Director will develop related programs and formal affiliations that keep Cancer Services positioned in the forefront of care delivery in a financially responsible manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

Current license to practice Registered Professional Nursing
2.
Bachelor of Science degree required
EXPERIENCE:
1.
Advanced education and certification in designated area of specialty preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1.
Master’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
1.
A minimum of 5 years management experience preferred. Preferably in an ACOS approved cancer program.
(May be waived in lieu of significant relevant experience or accomplishments.)
