The Pediatric Nephrology and Hypertension Program is looking to add a BE/BC pediatric nephrologist with interest in kidney transplantation to its team. In addition to a recently UNOS accredited kidney transplant program, patients benefit from the team's expertise in diagnosis and treatment of various pediatric kidney diseases, hypertension and metabolic bone disease. All forms of dialysis therapy are available in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

The qualified candidate will be actively involved in the transplant nephrology services, including inpatient and outpatient care of transplant recipients, as well as general pediatric nephrology needs. The successful candidate will participate in quality and selection committees as well as assume the role of a key member of the multidisciplinary transplant team in collaboration with transplant surgeons, transplant physicians, administrators, coordinators, and support staff. In addition, he/she will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research, as well as in medical education of students and residents.

This Transplant Institute in South Florida has received federal approval from UNOS to launch an adult and pediatric kidney transplant program. The Institute also received approval to establish a living donor kidney recovery component, including open and laparoscopic nephrectomies. The kidney programs will also offer cadaveric kidney transplants, pediatric kidney transplants and living donor kidney transplant.
