Independent Trading Company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join the team in our San Clemente, CA location.

POSITION OVERVIEW //
Ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Must be driven, motivated, and able to manage an account base of several customers.
Multi-tasking and prioritizing is key.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Manage Custom Product Development and Production Control of multiple customers
• Track style development & follow-up to ensure timely completion.
• Develop Cost sheets for the customer, reviewing all factory quotes for accuracy on fabric yield, fabric costs, trim costs,
embellishing costs, etc
• Review prototypes, lab dips, salesmen samples and production for accuracy according to the customer’s requirements.
• Understanding of apparel tech packs, size grading, embellishing, fabrications (knitted and woven), trims, construction, and
apparel manufacturing techniques
• Creating and/or revising style tech packs
• Review & maintain weekly WIP reports for factory and customer
• Create/maintain fabric/embellishment library and historical reference samples
• Create/maintain lab-dip and trims samples per customer account
• Organize/maintain customer samples, strike-offs, & fabric submits
• Prepare customer purchase orders for accounting processing
• Daily high-volume communications with overseas factories and domestic customers
• Possible yearly trips to overseas facilities to work with customers and our factories on immediate and future production needs
• Travel to meet with customer accounts -Primarily in the Southern California area but may also need to travel over night out of state.
