Director of Food and Beverage/'Chef and B'
The brand new Hotel Indigo Mount Pleasant, opening mid-2018, is seeking a dedicated food and beverage leader! As our Executive Chef, you will manage many aspects, including our full service restaurant and bar, in-room dining, poolside service at our in our Low Country elegant pool deck, as well as gathering & events. Experience with menu design, kitchen layout, recruiting, and team development are strongly preferred. Previous successes with inventory controls, ordering, labor management, and guest service recovery are preferred. Hotel Indigo’s newly reimagined public space will provide a casual, but professional gathering place for all occasions. With over 6000 square feet of flexible gathering space, our hotel will host a wide range of affairs including weddings, and corporate events. Our 158 modern guest rooms offer little touches of luxury with boutique amenities, high speed wireless internet, and spa inspired bathrooms. Hotel Indigo isn’t your standard hotel brand. We bring in aspects of our neighborhood to enhance the guest experience. Our food & beverage should be a reflection of our area and everything that makes it unique. The menu will focus on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, with a flair for the innovative and daring!

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage, direct and organize all F&B operations to maintain high standards of service.
  • Recruit, interview, train, supervise, and coach F&B staff for the efficient operation of all outlets.
  • Create schedules and manage labor hours for F&B staff
  • Hands on management to lead and inspire staff
  • Proactively engage guests to ensure exceptional experiences
  • Deliver service exceeding guests’ expectations
  • Maximize F&B profitability
  • Implement effective controls of inventory and labor costs
  • Monitor budget to ensure efficient and effective operation
  • Maintain proper staging of restaurant/bar that meets brand standards
  • Enforce uniform and grooming standards of all service team members
  • Maintain and encourage open communication between guests, management and line associates
  • Promote and market restaurant/bar, create special events, network and act as a PR person for our restaurant
  • Work in tandem with the sales & catering team to attract and impress top clients

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
