My industry leading client is looking for a Principal Java Developer / Software Engineer for a permanent position based in their Oxford offices. Our client is experiencing a period of growth that is increasing the pressure on the capability of their technology infrastructure. As they grow, so does their demand on technology and the way they use it. Our client are automating, optimising, increasing speed and availability and migrating to cloud services.

In this role the Principal Java Developer / Software Engineer will:

           Work closely with different business and technology units to understand their integration needs as well as data to support business processes as well as building of relationships

           Create designs to support integration processes and to bridge the gap between business processes to technical solutions

           Act as a lead and mentor for other developers within team on integration capabilities

           Perform test driven development (TDD) within the Agile software development process

           Have a good understanding of enterprise integration patterns and implementation within Web Service (SOAP & Restful), Asynchronous messaging and batch processes

           Contribute to achieving continuous improvement within the standards and processes for the ongoing development

           Develop integration solutions based upon the JBoss Fuse platform incorporating Apache Camel as the core integration technology

           Be a confident, pro-active technology and data integration evangelist

The Principal Java Developer / Software Engineer will have experience with:

           JBoss Fuse or other integration platforms

           Developing in Java 7+, Java EE, Spring, Camel

           XML, schemas, transformations

           Oracle 12g database query development

           Agile development - inc use of Jira, continuous integration, continuous delivery

           Developing SOAP and Restful services and event driven data integrations

           String interpersonal skills with the ability to form relationships across the business

The Principal Java Developer / Software Engineer will have exposure to:

           Using test tools and automated tests to support development

           Data Modelling - inc canonical model use

           ETL Tools (preferably Talend)

           Master Data Management solutions

The Location: The role is based in Oxford and is highly commutable from London, Reading, Swindon, Bicester, Witney, Banbury, Aylesbury and many more.
