Non-Exempt position responsible for overseeing, managing and coordinating the development and maintenance of the county-wide geographic information system databases, including the strategic and long-range plans. Responsible for compiling data required for land record map preparation or revision, including aerial photographs, survey notes, records, reports, and original maps to ensure completeness and accuracy. 

Candidate must have good math skills and reasoning ability. Must demonstrate self-initiative and use independent judgment regarding GIS activities. This includes reading and interpreting maps. Utilize ESRI based GIS software, ArcGIS, ArcMap Advanced, and Microsoft Excel to interpret data for use with ArcMap. Monitor accuracy of data and manage project timeliness, paying close attention to detail. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address questions. 

Required Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
