General Responsibilities

Under the guidance of a Construction Services Specialist, the CSG Intern builds on classroom knowledge by completing CSG projects, providing support for CSG staff, and gaining experience in the administration of the planning, design and construction management services provided by a statewide K12 Construction Services Project Management Department.

Assignment/Location:
This position will serve the Vancouver CSG office. Candidates must be enrolled in a college/university and actively completing courses toward a degree program to be considered. The length of the assignment will depend on the selected candidate's internship requirements. 

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:
Mentored by a Construction Services Specialist:

  1. Partners with a Construction Services Specialist to complete projects for the department.
  2. Assists CSG team with administrative tasks: answers emails, maintains files and prints/collates materials.
  3. Assists with proof-reading marketing materials and RFQ's and assist with project narratives.
  4. Assists with document control and tracking.
  5. Assists with meeting scheduling, set-up and follow through.
Other Functions:
  1. Other related duties as assigned.
  2. Maintain confidentiality.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma/GED .
  2. Enrollment in a Construction Management related degree program, to include but not limited to: Construction Management, Project Management, Office Management, Engineering, or Business Management.
  3. Experience using Microsoft Office Programs.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  1. None

  2. Regular attendance during scheduled work hours.
