What you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the doctor during dental procedures
  • Patient care – reviewing health history, taking patient vitals, communicating treatment so patient understands, post op instructions, follow-up calls
  • Setting up trays and ops for patient appointments
  • Assist with or take alginate and PVS impressions
  • Taking diagnostic X-rays and photos
  • Relaying information to doctor regarding patient’s appointment
  • Infection control
  • Sterilizing equipment & ops
  • Gathering all materials, sending out, and tracking lab cases
  • Weekly and monthly equipment maintenance
  • Dental supplies inventory
  • Surgery instrument inventory
  • Miscellaneous office duties

Selection criteria/qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • 1 + years of general dentistry (required)
  • Radiographer’s certificate (required)
  • CPR certified (required)
  • Hep B vaccinated (required)
  • Certified Dental Assistant (preferred)
  • Has interest or experience in dental surgery
  • Willing to travel to surrounding Columbus dental offices
  • Proficient with dental terminology
  • Willing to cross train for our front office
