ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN 3 or 4COLUMBIA COUNTY PUBLIC WORKSColumbia County Public Works is seeking an Engineering Technician 3 or 4. This position is responsible for applying detailed knowledge of engineering design and construction methods in performing the complex drafting and computation work for public works design, construction, and as-built inspections; assuring compliance with plans, specifications and applicable standards; and using computer drafting and surveying instruments. The primary duties of this position will be the design of road and bridge projects with construction inspection being secondary. Applicants with experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D are preferred. The decision whether to hire an Engineering Technician 3 or 4 will be made by the County after evaluating the applicant's education and experience.Wages range from $20.08 to $ 28.19 DOQ for an Engineering Technician 4 and and engineering Technician 3 from $19.35 to $27.16 DOQ for an Engineering Technician 4. The county offers a benefit package which includes paid vacation and sick leave, retirement, life insurance, and $850 per month stipend to be used for medical, vision and dental insurance.
