Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the 15 temporary positions of Custodian (Building/ Grounds Specialist II) in University Housing. 

Duties include, but are not limited to: Cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms and bathrooms for summer turnover; cleaning all surfaces and items in assigned areas; maintaining flooring in designated areas; removing trash and recyclables; cleaning for summer conferences and orientations; maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance and supply needs; stocking and maintaining supply carts and closets; and providing exceptional customer service to all constituents. 

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Experience in custodial field is preferred. Additionally, a successful candidate should possess: ability to deal courteously with the public and students; ability to work independently; knowledge of operation and use of equipment and tools used in the care and cleaning of buildings; knowledge of custodial services practices, techniques, and procedures preferred; and ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. 

Deadline: April 20, 2018. 

Temporary position-pay rate $9.25 per hour. Normal work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University. Maximum hours per week are 28.
