Position Details: Full-Time, permanent ED Pharmacist opportunity within a hospital setting. This is a great Pharmacist position for a critical care hospital experienced candidate. The position is starting as soon as possible so qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Willing to help with relocation! PGY1/2, preferred but not required. Permanent opportunity. Hours are 10am - 8pm, 7 on, 7 off.

Position Description:

• Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders
• Dispenses medications by selecting, compounding, mixing, preparing, labeling and dispensing pharmaceuticals
• Counsels and advises patients and health care teams with questions about therapeutic use
• Acts as a liaison between insurer, physician and patient when prescriptive issues arise
• Supervises technicians' efforts in assigning duties and supervising preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals
• Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions
• Enhances pharmacological knowledge by participating in continuing education through professional publications, workshops, seminars, and professional networking
• Legal compliance with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration
• Removes and discards outdated and damaged drugs per regulations
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment and adheres to specific infection-control standards
• All other duties assigned by pharmacy location

• 1-3+ yearsâ?? experience as a Clinical Pharmacist
• PGY1/2 in critical care, preferred
• FL License Pharmacist in good standing with the board
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
• Must pass required competency exams
• Must possess strong ethical standards
