Full time, permanent role, hours 8 am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Purpose of Role: To operate industrial, semi automated sewing machines to produce lifting and safety webbing goods to the laid down standards and company quality requirements
Tasks
• Produce products in accordance with job sheet requirements and under the instruction of the Leading Hand or Production Manager
• Ensure the correct labelling is affixed to the product
• Carry out basic weekly checks and basic maintenance
• Record accurate daily production figures
• Report machine faults to Leading Hand / Site Manager
• Maintain a clean and tidy workstation
• Comply to all company and health and safety procedures
Skills and Behaviours - Essential
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Punctual and Reliable
• Basic numeracy and literacy
• Able to work as part of a team
• Quick learner with a ‘can do’ attitude
Skills and Behaviours- Preferable
• Previous Sewing Machine Experience – either domestic or industrial
• Transferable skills and aptitude to perform other production tasks
