Sr. Powerbuilder Developer

CGI Federal is hiring a Sr. PowerBuilder Developer to work on a USMC program that is responsible for eliminating redundancy, improving utilization of SI resources, standardizing business practices, improving process and product quality, and reducing Marine Corps lifecycle ownership costs.

The selected candidate will develop code in Powerbuilder, meet or exceed development schedule deadlines, communicate on daily basis to PM on project status, attend Marine Corps Systems Command System Engineering meetings as required, lead another Powerbuilder in his development tasks, perform peer code reviews, and comply with all Information Assurance requirements in code development.



Your future duties and responsibilities
This position will be responsible for one other developer while interacting directly with our customer on a daily basis. There will be a requirement to attend staff meetings hosted by USMC active duty Marines and Government Service employees. Tier II helpdesk calls will also be elevated to this key position. Tracking work on WBS / schedules / and reporting to PM on status of all on a weekly (or more frequent) basis is required. Eventually this position will transition to site lead after a transition period with the PM or Deputy PM filling the site lead role during the transition time.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Requirements
5 years recent experience with PowerBuilder 9 or greater
12 years of software development life-cycle experience - with demonstrated increasing responsibilities over this 12 year or greater period of time.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Good team / team building skills
Security + certification within 6 months of hire
.NET experience a plus
