Sr. Java Developer
Position Description
This is a large scale enterprise product involving strategic development of multi cloud asset provision, managing and optimization platform supporting multiple cloud service providers. The platform integrates numerous amount of third party tools to manage the security, financials and upkeep of the machines with rich analytics and DevOps integration. The candidate is expected to make significant impact to the product enhancements and future direction
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Work closely with product team to understand requirements and drive technical designs
• Responsible for Epic development, sprint tasks break downs, single point of contact for Epic and drive development
• Ensure sprint goals are met with production ready software
• Working with distributed teams to ensure the delivery
• Drive POCs and provide concise choices of tools and technologies
• Define reusable software components and services
• Mentor team members and comprehensive code reviews
• Participate in Epic planning and effort estimations
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 7 - 12 years’ experience in Java / J2EE and related technologies on large scale web projects
• Strong technical background with experience in driving the solution/designs
• Excellent communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with multiple technology stacks like Dropwizard/Spring/Micro Services
• Working experience or conceptual knowledge of NOSQL data bases like MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB
• Ability to work in agile environment
• Due to the nature of government contracts this position requires a Green Card or US Citizenship.
Desired Qualifications:
• Understanding of multiple cloud service provider stacks (AWS, Azure, VM Ware, Google)
• Experience with AngularJS, NodeJS and/or JavaScript
• Understanding of DevOps process and tooling
• Working knowledge of Agile development projects
