Position Description
Role Summary:

Sr. Solutions Architect that specializes in System Requirement and Analysis activities for custom web site development efforts. The individual will be responsible to work with internal business clients, IT System Analysts, Architects, Developers and Quality Engineers to complete the delivery of system and analysis deliverables. Uses extensive knowledge and experience in the web site space to create valuable website products that exceed customers’ expectations. This professional has a strong consultative presence in the business which allows a deep understanding of the pace, direction, and needs of business and IT partners. The relationships built and fostered with the business and IT partners provides this professional insight into both known and yet undiscovered needs for website solutions. Applying strict but practical system controls, patterns, and processes, the Solutions Architect ensures maximum performance, accuracy, and availability of supported products. Strong technical credentials and excellent interpersonal skills make this professional a sought after resource by the technical community as well as business partners. The analyst is a leader in all phases of conceptualization, design, testing, and production support of web site solutions utilizing Oracle Databases, Oracle Application Express, Web Services, Looker, and Informatica.





MAJOR DUTIES

• Assists in the definition and executes system requirement specification deliverables based on business requirements.

• Anticipate customers’ analytic needs and proactively conceptualize and champion high-value website solutions such as integrated search, feedback loops, calendaring, notifications/alerts, etc.

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions as needed.

• Lead the design of complex customer analytic solutions by applying expert level understanding of web site best practices.

• Assist business partners with defining business requirements as needed.

• Defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

• Responsible to identify alternatives to solve the business and/or technical issues that arise.

• Ability to identify and resolve system, subsystem and component dependencies and concerns.

• Work with various IT partners to ensure the optimal performance of the application which may include DBAs, System Administrators, applications owners, etc.

• Assist in the creation and evaluation of System and Integration test cases.

• Design and develop customer training materials, and conduct customer training sessions.

Limited Duties (When data is needed for the solution):

• Defines and executes analysis / data mapping specification deliverables based on approved requirements and system requirement specifications.

• Knowledge and experience with DDL/DML.

• Manage enterprise requirements and modeling artifacts from a systems perspective.





Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications

• 4-6 years prior analysis experience

• Demonstrates and promotes creativity and innovation. Proactively seeks out alternative solutions to business problems

• Experience building web sites that are easy to use and intutive.

• Experience working with customers from the initial development of business requirements, through all the Agile/Scrum steps and providing on-going maintenance and support.

• Excellent Facilitation skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Exemplifies teamwork and serves as role model. Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels. Unquestionable ethics & integrity.

• Ability to set goals and work with minimal direction

• Excellent understanding of contemporary requirements engineering techniques and the ability to apply them in the context of various software development life cycles

• Aptitude for gaining deep knowledge of the industry and business, and proactively using this knowledge to deliver meaningful results.

• Track record of consistently driving projects to completion and taking accountability for work and results. Confronts tough issues and situations.

• Consults with clients and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution. Understands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factors these into solutions. Excellent conceptualization, analytical and logic skills.

• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both orally and in writing. Ability to articulate and translate technical language to non-technical customers. Influences at all levels across the company within span of control.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, five years of diverse work experience in IT and/or management.

• Nice to Have: Experience with multiple tools for requirements management and modeling

• Nice to Have: 3-5 years experience participating in the development of Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing systems. Looker, Informatica, and Oracle Application Experience is perferred experience preferred.



Additional Qualifications Preferred:

1. Experience building websites

2. Experience with Oracle Application Express

3. Experience with GIT, Jenkins, and uDeploy

4. Familiar with Agile and SCRUM methodologies

5. Advanced degree

6. Nice to Have: Looker (or experience with Tableau/OBIEE)

7. Nice to Have: Data Modeling Tool Experience

8. Nice to Have: Experience with Informatica
