We are seeking a Systems Analyst who has a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a systems analyst role. The candidate will have an aptitude for learning new technologies and be strong team player. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual wanting to progress their career. It will challenge the successful candidate to develop and enhance their technical skills; further develop their analysis, leadership and interpersonal skills and gain experience with industry leading methodologies for service support, systems development and quality assurance (ISO 20000, ITIL, CMMI). Our ideal candidate will: • Have the ability to confidently articulate alternatives and recommendations to clients in response to their needs and problems. • Be able to balance a workload which may involve new activities and changing priorities • Be able to mentor and mobilize coworkers so they can be successful • Take ownership over a piece of work and see it through to successful completion • Develop a trusting relationship with the client and act as a single point of contact for certain domains. • Have the ability to confidently articulate operational aspects of environment to client. Your future duties and responsibilities Design, estimating, coding, testing and implementation of complex applications within an Enterprise environment Participate in business case analysis / design and preparation of detailed specifications of programs where needed Work within defined processes and methodologies Interact with clients of various levels and managing client expectations in terms of functionality, schedule, and quality Articulate alternatives and recommendations to clients; responding to their needs and challenges Provide mentoring to more junior members Required qualifications to be successful in this role Nice to have: • Ability to understand and improve operational aspects of an application, including security, scheduling, load balancing, and resource optimization. • Good problem solving skills. Comfortable diving into data, documents, and code to gain a thorough understanding of solution • Ability to manage expectations with client in terms of scope, schedule, budget, quality, what is expected of the client. • Competent in interrogating data with SQL and navigating in an Intel environment • Ability to articulate and promote CGI’s services to client • Ability to write, maintain, and review code in one or more of the following languages: Java, Websphere, and DB2. • Ability to participate and add value to all aspects of process lifecycle, including: scoping and estimation, requirements and analysis, development and testing, implementation. • Ability to take ownership of a process and improve it. • Ability to write in a coherent manner. • Experience with the Health industry. MANDATORY SKILLS obtained outside educational institutions: • 3-5+ Years of experience doing Java development in an Enterprise environment • WebSphere Desirable experience with any of the following: • J2EE • DB2 • SQL • UNIX • InfoSphere MDM #LI-AG1 Build your career with us.
