Position Description
CGI Federal has an opening for an Oracle Enterprise Application Developer.


Your future duties and responsibilities
The CGI Oracle Enterprise Application Developer will:
• Develop, test, document, implement, and maintain Oracle Enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot, support and maintain critical information systems. Analyze and identify time-sensitive system problems that could have an impact on business operations
• Analyze existing processes and identify dependencies and potential break points, and recommend and implement improved technical solutions
• Partner with internal customers to understand requirements in business terms and translate those requirements into technical solutions. This includes developing new capabilities as well as break fix
• Develop specific SDLC documentation. Ensure approval of technical solutions from architectural review board and key stakeholders
• Convert project specs into sequence of detailed instructions & logical steps for coding in a computer processing language; applying knowledge of computer programming techniques / computer languages
• Analyze, review, and alter program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
• Document program development, logic, coding, and corrections
• Write functional specifications
• Develop installation and operating procedures manual
• Oversee hardware / software installation; provide technical assistance to program users
• Develop technical and professional skills in order to perform roles as development lead, lead technical designer or developer
• Plan, develop, and test document programs applying knowledge of programming techniques / computer systems
• Evaluate user requests for new / modified programs
• Outline steps required to develop programs using standard development methodologies
• Capture requirements using development frameworks / tools
• Assist in solving operating problems
• May use computer-aided software tools in each stage of system development
• Oversee hardware / software installation; provide technical assistance to program users
• Install and test program; monitor program performance after implementation



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-10+ Years Programming Experience
• Proficient in Oracle eBS

DESIRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of system life cycle / application development alternatives
• High aptitude for complex problem analysis / resolution
• Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively present to target audience
• Ability to effectively work with all levels of personnel within the organization
• Detail-orientated; uses sound judgment; and is self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Very good organization and time management skills
• Experience with Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Share Point, MS Project
