CGI is seeking a Technology Athlete with strong database development in SQL, to become a part of a dynamic team located in CGI Technology Center of Excellence Lafayette, LA.! This is an exciting opportunity to augment your current skills, as well as, learn new technologies. If you are looking for a new challenge and want to make a difference in the Healthcare Industry, this role is for you. Previous experience developing in SQL is a must as well as a desire to learn Hadoop, Teradata, MPP, and Database programming. The Athlete Requirements: • Strong SQL knowledge (Required) • Development in least one of the following areas: Hadoop, Teradata, MPP, Database programming, Understanding of data models • Experience developing in at least one Fullstack language such as; Java, Python, AngularJS, PERL, Visualization (Looker and Tableau) and others. • Experience in business intelligence or analytic development role on a variety of large scale projects (2 years minimum) Your future duties and responsibilities The role expectations are listed below: • Provide technical expertise through a hands-on approach to team projects, developing solutions • Collaborate with developers and business users for overall design oversight on Big Data solutions • Help develop Micro Services • Lead and/or participate in the design, definition, planning, development, and implementation of projects conforming to Client’s Software Development Best Practices. • Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of business domains, heath care analytics, and industry trends in order to develop an enterprise view of Big Data Analytic needs Required qualifications to be successful in this role Bachelor’s degree required, or Degree in a quantitative discipline: statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, data mining, machine learning, or other empirical science.
