Job Description ECM Senior Technical Architect

Position Description
The new Code Quality COE needs a senior technical architect to help build and grow the Center of Excellence. CGI is seeking an individual who is looking to join a dynamic, fast-paced client interactive team. If you are an experienced CAST Solution architect and developer who thrives on solving complex business and technical problems then this is might be the role for you.

Role Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities and duties will include:

• Lead the initiative to architect and build CAST redistributable solutions

• Estimate & Develop CAST deployments for clients

• Provide technical leadership across a global team of 4 to 6 members

• Technical oversight and/or configuration of CAST

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• 5+ years development experience

• 5+ years leading development teams

• 5+ years as a technical architect

• 5+ years of consulting experience

• Clear communication skills

• Development with the end user, system ‘upgradability’, and reusability in mind.

Technical skills

• Confirmed/Senior experience in Application development or architecture

• Knowledge about some core technologies

• Previous exposure to application quality aspects and impact is a plus

Technical Background

• Good understanding of the generic SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

• Good understanding of the organizational, economic and team challenges that Applicationteams meet (For Industrialization Use mainly)

Project management skills

• Autonomy, pro-activity and Rigor

• Ability to understand the constraints and objectives of Application project Managers.



Communication skills

• Ability to listen, understand/position CAST value upfront

• Ability to drive presentations to managers on CAST Value after the analysis

• Good Communication and contact skills to work with Application teams in a smooth and diplomatic way to avoid generating a “push-back” (For Industrialization Use mainly)

Personal Skills

• Fluent English in case of English speaking application teams

• Ability to Travel to meet application SMEs (For Industrialization Use mainly)

• Ability to “sell”, value and momentum to middle management (For Industrialization Use mainly)

• Strong credibility amongst the Application teams. (For Industrialization Use mainly)

Experience range

• 5 to 15 years, as technical Lead, Architect or technical project Manager

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED

• 1+ years of experience with code quality tools like CAST, Sonar, Bounds Checker

• 1+ years of experience with automated testing tools

• 1+ years of experience with devops

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

• Hands on programming skills and a strong diversity of non-programming technical skills.

• Experience with architecting upgradable, product based offerings on the custom coded solutions.
