Azure Cloud Solutions Engineer
Position Description
The Azure Cloud Services Engineer will operate within a team developing and maintaining the Azure infrastructure needed to support our Client engagements. This includes all aspects of services within the Azure environment including service extensions into an external CGI or client environment, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Network management, managed services, storage, backup, DR, monitoring, and identity and access management. The role will serve as the subject matter expert for Azure IaaS and managed services and assist solutions architects and other engineers in developing best practices and reference architectures, while delivering projects on time and on budget.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and maintain
o management and client virtual networks
o tools and shared infrastructure
o identity providers and connections
• Automate deployment of reference architectures and tools for client engagements
o Including the use of Ansible and Terraform
• Assist in architecting and supporting managed services
• Assist solutions architects in developing reference architectures
• Assist in troubleshooting application or service incidents within the Azure environment and its extension to CGI or client sites
• Assist in architecting, deploying, and supporting appropriate controls to meet various compliance requirements, including PCI, HIPAA, and FedRamp
• Maintain technical capabilities as related to advances and best practices in public cloud services
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• At least 5 years of experience as a cloud service engineer or virtualization engineer
• At least 2 years of experience in support of cloud services in Azure
• Scripting experience for automated service deployments (Ansible and Terraform)
• Experience with Azure Site Recovery in DR from on premises to Azure
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
