Job Description Ab-initio Developer

Position Description
CGI is currently hiring an Ab-initio Developer to join our technology center in Columbia, SC. We’re offering an exciting full-time opportunity, complete with a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, etc.


Your future duties and responsibilities
- Develop Abinitio code to process XML files as well as database retrievals in an agile environment
- Provide test support
- Coordinate L3 Production support and release implementations activities if necessary
- Serve as technical SME in all phases of system life cycle (gap analysis, design, develop, implement).
- Serve as project team liaison with business partners to analyze the impact of new requests and business process changes on existing systems and processes



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Ab-initio, SQL, XML, XSD, PL/SQL, UNIX, AutoSys
- 3yrs+ experience in system design, project development, and production support
- 3yrs experience implementing and supporting Ab-Initio, Oracle applications
- Experience in performance tuning of Ab-initio graphs and PL/SQL packages
- Knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment, UNIX shell scripts
- Fluent in AutoSys, SQL and PL/SQL, and XML
- Hands-on experience with version control systems
- Hands-on experience with issue tracking systems [Service Now, My Services]
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of.Net, Datawarehouse, DevOps is a plus

Education:
1) Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
2) Professional certification(s) desired
3) Post-graduate degree desired
