The freight business is all about relationships.  A vast majority of shippers select their freight service providers strictly based on how well they know and trust their representative. 

The average size of our target companies are small to medium size businesses shipping anywhere from 1 to 10 shipments per week.  Typically, this type of shipper is more relationship driven and needs logistical assistance.

Have you developed a few of these relationships in your career?  Can those relationships be leveraged to move their truckloads, flatbeds, hot shot, intermodal, ocean container or LTL?  

CSG is based in Irving, TX, and has developed a network of professionals throughout Texas who are capitalizing on their business relationships and turning those relationships into money.

The good news is you don’t have to be a logistics expert.  As an example, one our top reps is admittedly no expert in transportation.  He is however, good with people, fun to be around, and enjoys the freight business.   During his career, he was in sales and operations for a regional LTL carrier.  He is now retired and was looking for something to do.  He had maintained or felt he could develop and influence business relationships to move freight through CSG.  He works from his home and works as much or as little as he wants.

This rep has only two accounts.  Both are very active shippers with CSG.  His normal work week consists of a few phone calls to his two client shippers and an occasional lunch.  The rest of his time is spent playing golf.  (Nice life!)  He’s even trained his customers to call the CSG operations team when there are any issues so he doesn’t get involved in that end of the business. 

At CSG we have several other sales reps who have a similar story or situation. The point is, this is not a difficult job and you can make very good money doing it.
