New Business Development Print, Digital and Event Advertising Sales

The Daily Chronicle has an opportunity for a person who is self-motivated, self-directed, and enjoys selling multiple products both by phone and in person. This position entails making contact with established clients as well as prospecting and reaching out to new potential customers. Sales will include advertising in a variety of glossy and newsprint magazine publications produced by the Daily Chronicle, sales of booths and sponsorships for a number of events including the MT Wedding event, the Prime Senior Expo, the Bozeman Pet Expo and a number of others. Some involvement with sales of a new ticketing platform will also be a part of the job responsibilities for this position, as well as sales of a variety of digital products. The successful candidate will connect well with people and enjoy making lots of calls, both by phone and in person each day. Prior sales experience is helpful but not required. A good driving record, a reliable vehicle with insurance (we pay mileage), and the ability to pass a background check are required. The position pays a base wage of $3,000 per month plus commission on all sales, with an estimated commission of $300 - $1,000 per month based on results. This job offers the opportunity for advancement and is an excellent way to learn the newspaper advertising business in preparation for assuming an outside sales territory.
