Requirements
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred.
 
Certification/Licensure: Registered by American Board of Registration of EEG and EP Technologists (ABRET) preferred.
 
Experience Requirements:
Experience in a technical health care field, training and experience in Neurodiagnostics, and/or Polysomnography (including the 10-20 system) preferred. 
Completion of a CAHEA Accredited education program in Neurodiagnostics preferred. 
Adult/Pediatric CPR certification required (Available upon employment).
Typing skills and general computer knowledge required
 
Job Description
Responsible for providing quality neurodiagnostic testing care to patients under the direction of a physician. May engage in all departmental activities to provide safe and effective delivery of patient care utilizing parameters guided by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ASET). Department activities include but are not limited to performing electroencephalogram (EEG); evoked potentials (EP); assisting physicians with nerve conduction studies (NCS); scheduling patients; limited electrocardiography (EKG); transcribing/typing, faxing, scanning, linking and filing reports.
