Job Description:

The Senior Accountant will be a vital member of the Finance team, and assist the Accounting Manager in all phases of operational accounting for the division of AIM Aerospace.  The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  • Daily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
  • Weekly cash flow and performance reporting
  • Participate in month-end close procedures, to include balance sheet account reconciliations in Blackline, completion of assigned journal entries and sales/COGS analysis
  • Maintain fixed asset tracking, to include addition and disposal of assets in Sage FAS and reconciliation of fixed asset schedules
  • Prepare state and local tax returns (B&O, Property, City, L&I)
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Assist with coordination and completion of year-end inventory count
  • Assist in assessing internal controls, including risk assessment and review of risk areas
  • Produce monthly expense reports and ad hoc reports as requested
  • Assist in more complex and specialized accounting support function as assigned

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP software, especially Epicor
  • Experience with Blackline, Sage FAS and/or Concur
  • Good judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3 years related experience.
