You must follow customer specifications and mask areas that are not in need of painting or coating. You may also be responsible for maintaining inventory in the paint room. The qualifications that you need to work as an industrial spray painter include a high school diploma or GED certificate and the skills to operate spray painting equipment. Many employers train new workers but tend to prefer applicants with at least one year of experience in industrial painting.
