We are seeking an individual to work in our temperature calibration laboratory, which is one of the newest and fastest growing departments in the company.
Under the guidance of the Lab/Quality manager, the lab technician has primary responsibility for the timely inspection, testing/evaluation of temperature monitoring devices. Ability to effectively work independently & part of a team and communicate effectively are important aspects of this position.
2 or 4 Degree in any technical, math or science discipline (or working towards a degree).
0-1 year experience (college experience is ok) in running and reading lab tests and operating lab instruments.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills, proficient use of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Access
Effective communication skills: written and verbal.
Ability to read, interpret and follow SOP’s, Work Instructions, and Test Procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
General science and basic math skills.
Attention to detail.
Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Basic understanding of industry regulatory requirements and ISO standards preferred
Perform Equipment Calibration and Verification assignments according to written procedures to assure accuracy of test and inspection results.
Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety.
Clean and maintain work areas and equipment as scheduled or required.
Perform quality analysis(inspection) on units under test before, during and after calibration
Routine monitoring at all stages in the work process to identify any non-conformance; report all nonconformance to supervision as required.
Following calibration methods and procedures per ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Standard requirements
Report calibration results accurately, clearly, unambiguously, and objectively and in accordance with instructions and calibration methods
Keep records of all batches and maintain logs for all quality control processes for Lab/QC manager review
