Qualifications
•
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics and two (2)+ years' experience OR,
•
Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics and one (1)+ years' experience
•
One (1+) years' experience with root cause corrective action (RCCA)
•
Defense or Aerospace experience
•
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Responsibilities
•
Here, a QE develops, evaluates, revises and applies technical quality assurance protocols and methods to design, manufacture, inspect and test in-process materials, production equipment and finished goods
•
Your work ensures compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations
•
By performing analysis and identifying trends for in-process material, your recommend and facilitate corrective actions
•
The QE makes sure established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed
•
Formulating policy is a key outcome during the QE process of analyzing, planning product quality and operations planning
•
This role is accountable for complete Quality life cycle from proposal, to purchase order award, through to hardware delivery, including customer returned materials
•
Accountable for proposals and purchase order review / approval to clearly define and execute the program quality requirements via program quality plans, including AS9102 FAI’s
•
Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program requirements
•
Manage program warranty returns, applicable metrics and drive holistic root cause and corrective action (RCCA) to reduce warranty returns and costs to improve operational productivity and product design
•
Analyze reports and data on returned product to drive root cause corrective action opportunities
•
Manage customer scorecards and applicable Quality Initiatives with department functional leadership
•
Design and implement methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and production equipment by collaborating with functional organizations to drive continuous improvement
•
Participate in material review board (MRB), corrective action board (CAB) and production team meetings
•
Perform statistical analysis on products to determine the patterns seen and unseen, providing insight to the lifecycle of the product
•
Initiate correction action for procedural, product or process deficiencies
•
Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities to enhance cross-functional problem solving
•
Improve and maintain 6S in your own area, making suggestions for improvements
•
Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support
