We are currently seeking a Capture Manager that is able to work across both the Public and Private Sector, supporting the business development and capture activities across Federal, State, Local, Education (SLED), and Commercial market segments. rockITdata offers a wide range of technological services spanning from Artificial Intelligence to Software as a Service and Cloud offerings. The Capture Manager will be responsible for driving the business development processes in concert with our Chief Growth Officer, corporate executives, and solution architects. The position is focused on identifying, qualifying, and capturing opportunities related to our core competencies, continuing to build the rockITdata opportunity pipeline, executing the capture process, maintaining a high win probability, and growing business across our market domains. The Capture Manager will lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute discriminating win strategies from opportunity qualification through proposal submission and award.
Responsible for the capture ownership of identified opportunities across rockITdata's Public and Private Sector.
Responsible for the management and execution of the full business development life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals.
Routinely be assigned 2-3 concurrent solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle.
Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
Facilitate meetings (e.g., solutioning, capture, planning, gate reviews, briefings) with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., customers, executives, management, delivery teams, subject matter experts, contracts, finance, account managers).
Secure knowledge and understanding of customer requirements, issues, and needs during the pursuit and capture phases and lead planning sessions with core team.
Plan and participate in capture activities, to include opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and workshop sessions, proposal reviews.
Lead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts.
Lead the development and submission of whitepapers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts as assigned.
Ability to develop capture budgets and execute capture plans within those approved budgets.
Support other business development activities as assigned.
Ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, to develop a capture plan that implements the vision and translates into win themes, to adjust the vision as the procurement unfolds, and to focus and manage the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the vision through final proposal submission and assist in preparing the execution team to perform quickly post award.
Collaboratively lead the development and execution of the entire win strategy to include win theme development, solutions development, competitive assessments, shaping strategy, teaming strategy, Price-to-Win, pricing strategy, and bid/no-bid recommendations to senior management (based on a price to win and other competitive assessments).
Develops compelling solutions that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
Conducts various milestone reviews as part of the pursuit lifecycle process.
Able to create pricing estimates, BOEs, and org charts for complex technical proposals.
Maintain complete action item lists, call plans and opportunity repository sites to ensure continuity of materials and actions across diverse team members and activities.
Develops and presents oral proposals.
Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as needed.
Conduct after action reviews for all business opportunity capture participants to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
Manage internal capture process and templates.
Develops a solid understanding of rockITdata programs and technical offerings.

2-5 years of experience managing capture and proposal efforts.
Experience in leading captures, preferred experience with Federal and SLED contracting, and willingness to learn commercial capture/proposal process, and demonstrated ability to successfully lead IDIQ/BPA opportunities.
Proven track record of successful capture management at a variety of acquisition sizes.
Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans.
Demonstrated knowledge of key account business rhythms, technical priorities, acquisition trends; access to government customers and industry partners.
Demonstrated ability to effectively present and communicate with executives in a manner that conveys confidence and engenders approval.
Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and collaboratively lead cross-functional teams.
Drive continuous analytical thinking across team members to derive appropriately innovative solutions.
Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers in the organization.
Proven record of high achievement and commitment to quality work.
Experience interviewing subject matter experts to support the proposal writing process.
Superior attention to detail, writing and presentation skills.
Develop and maintain high quality relationships with internal and external customers and partners.
Self-starter and ability to manage time independently without direct supervision.
