This position will be responsible for all aspects of new hire and ongoing staff education related to clinical and non-clinical systems, working with all departments to identify the continuing education needs. Management of the on-going requirements of all applications is critical, as is ensuring effective end-user support. This position will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of education materials, presentations, compliance, documentation, etc.
Establishes and maintains vendor certification related to software application when applicable.
Develops and maintains training materials specific to assigned application.
Determines the appropriate level of training for each user and coordinates scheduling of training.
Ensures that all users who need to be trained on the system are trained prior to gaining access to production system.
Works closely with the Director of Clinical Informatics to identify education needs and develop appropriate education plans.
Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of education programs, and makes improvements and revisions as needed.
Modify vendor lesson plans and E-learning modules to fit end-user needs and system configuration.
Participates in and understands system configuration. Attains and maintains detailed understanding of department workflows.
Uses project management skills to effectively manage implementations, upgrades, and special projects.
Creates and maintains an application specific training schedule for system go-live, including scheduling training facilities.
Builds, tests and maintains system training environments specific to your application and create classes specific to all the different applications using learning management system (LMS) as needed.
Develops training schedule annually and ad-hoc as needed.
Develops and maintains orientation, annual education, and specific management programs. Supports all staff training needs.

Recommends and documents processes, enhancements and modifications to improve existing system
R.N. or other professional degree required. Certifications preferred.
Three years prior clinical teaching and education/curriculum development experience preferred.
Healthcare super user, clinical unit resource, IT service desk support experience required. Proficient in Microsoft office suite, Windows 7, web based education builds. Audio/visual technology experience preferred.
Great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
