n-Link Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Admin. to help support a federal contract. This position is contingent upon award notification.


+ Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.

+ Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems to ensure reliability and performance.

+ Provides support with troubleshooting issues for Windows, VMware, Linux and Solaris Based Servers, Storage Area Network Devices, and e-mail.

+ Experienced with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures in Oracle and SQL Server configuration systems.

+ Responsible for implementing tasks associated with the systems designs and required to keep the systems operational at all times.

+ Complete needs assessment on current network yearly and as requested, including alternatives and upgrades of new services and hardware

+ Develop documentation for presentation to management and technical personnel that clearly and accurately describes alternatives

+ Maintain system infrastructure, making improvements where needed

+ Resolve technical hardware and software problems.

+ Work with vendors to resolve software problems and complex hardware problems, including coordination of the replacement of defective parts

+ Monitor infrastructure, including but not limited to Windows, AIX/Unix, and Linux servers, and Active Directory

+ Captures and updates Systems network diagrams (Visio)

+ Provides customer support on issues involving accessing APHIS systems, including active directory, W2K administration and server support trouble tickets


8+ years of experience in each of the following:

+ Current Active TS/SCI Clearance

+ 8+ years in Administering and Maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory Environment

+ 8+ years in Diagnosing and repairing server based hardware issues.

+ 8+ years in Installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of Windows-Based Server hardware and software such as SCCM, SharePoint and Project Server

+ 5+ years in Administering and maintaining VMware Environments

+ Working knowledge of Tape Backup and SAN solutions, configuration, administration and troubleshooting

+ Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Microsoft Certified Professional Accreditation or equivalent required, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Accreditation or equivalent preferred

+ At least one of the following certifications:

+ CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner

+ Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

+ Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)-Security

+ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate

+ GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), or

+ GIAC Certified Incident Handler with Virtual Machine (VM) Ware (ESX 5.0 or ESXi 5.1) and other Operating Systems, technologies and Platforms

+ Successful completion of the HBSS Administrators Course for all HBSS administrators at the start of contract performance, and successful completion of the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) certification through the US Army after contract start date.


Bachelor's Degree is preferred
