IT Support Specialist
medi is a globally leading and cutting-edge manufacturer of medical compression products that combine precision effectiveness with maximum comfort. We are looking for an IT Support Specialist as the main contact of our IT Service Desk and who is up to the challenge to support and advance our operations in Whitsett, NC.
Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for support. Follow up with requests in-person, per phone or email, on-site or via remote administration tools.
Document, prioritize and track requests using an IT Help Desk system to ensure a timely resolution.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to desktop and laptop computers, printers, telephones, mobile devices, online services, and other IT systems. Perform initial diagnostics with user and research possible solutions.
Resolve requests if feasible or escalate to other technical staff. Acts as a liaison between business user and other support staff - internal or external.
Install, configure, update and maintain software on desktops, laptops, servers and mobile devices.
Handle purchases or repairs of end-user equipment, keep track of active computer and software inventory.
Perform user administration and access control in Active Directory or Office 365. Perform user onboarding or change requests in coordination with HR.
Aid in research and evaluation of software and hardware.
Train and instruct end users on the use of computers or applications. Write and distribute user instructions
Hands-on expertise with Windows Desktop and Laptop hardware and peripherals
Proficient in installing, configuring and updating MS Windows 10
Experience with Active Directory user and group policy management on Windows Server 2008
Familiar with Office 365, ability to support MS Office 2016 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to work individually or in a team while being self-motivated and self-directed
Excellent organizational skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing
Experience with RDS Server 2012 and Thin Clients desirable
Associates Degree in IT related field
2 years of experience or training
