Position Overview

  • Position Title: Customer Care Specialist
  • Position Location:  Interstate Drive Champaign, IL
  • Primary Duty: Chat/Email  Technical and Billing Support
  • Travel: None
  • Schedule: Mon.-Fri. Earliest shift starts at 8am, latest shift ends at 8pm

This position provides the opportunity to receive training in knowledge of meShare and our client's smart home products and the IoT industry. Many who have demonstrated an exceptional understanding of the company have been considered for promotions in other positions.

This position starts at a base rate of $13 per hour. 

We provide dental, vision, prescription, disability and life insurance, and a retirement plan with a 3% company match. meShare offers options to cover 80% - 100% of the premium for employee-only coverage.

Primary Responsibilities

As a meShare Customer Care Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers. You will be responsible for providing quick and efficient technical support to customers via email and live-chat regarding product setup, use, troubleshooting, purchase, and more. Along with your expertise, you will also demonstrate a passion for smart home products along with genuine friendliness and care towards our customers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A strong passion for technology with the ability to quickly learn about new technologies, products, and features.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver great customer experiences, to communicate in a lively and friendly manner, and to be energized by constant personal interaction.
  • Ability to research and grasp technical information using multiple tools while talking with customers.
  • Knowledge and comfort using iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.
  • Basic knowledge about wireless networks, wireless routers, and networking.
  • Aptitude and flexibility to acquire new skills in technical troubleshooting and an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and flexibility to learn and receive training.
  • Effective time management and a proactive attitude about spending time effectively and efficiently for work.

Additional Requirements

  • Available to attend and complete a 2-week paid training on a fixed schedule.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) is a big plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and type 40 WPM while talking with customers.
  • Associates degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Successful completion of a post-offer criminal background check and drug screen.
