Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a Graphic Designer for a 12 Month + Contract. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of artwork, label content, and instructional literature design. Create artwork and labeling from concept through final production using industry standard software to implement requirements from Regulatory, Quality, Marketing and other teams to create compliant medical device product labeling.

  • Design and develop graphical solutions for labels and instructional literature (including technical illustrations) for a wide range of complex medical devices
  • Design product labels to include variable and static information for medical device products
  • Understand and apply complex requirements including branding, regulatory requirements, localization guidelines, and product specific requirements
  • Establish procedures, templates, and best practices to ensure order, consistency, clarity, conciseness in style and appearance of departmental deliverables
  • Lead/participate in the research, evaluation, and implementation of graphic design tools
  • Accurately estimate delivery of work products to facilitate project management
  • Operate within a change management system with controlled work products
  • Initiate, support, and/or lead continuous improvement endeavors within functional area
  • Apply time management skills to develop strategies to proactively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Understand and update technical CAD drawings
  • Support, assist, or lead the processing of work products through the change control process in the product lifecycle management (PLM) system


· 3-5 years graphic design work in Medical Device, Labeling or Quality Systems experience with Bachelors degree.

· Strong conceptual skills with high sense of design, illustration, layout, and typography

· Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs

· Experience taking technical or complicated material and distilling into easy to understand infographics

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across pieces

· Professional, friendly, can-do attitude with the ability to listen, teach, and elicit information efficiently

· Experience working collaboratively with many different personality types

· Strong creative, organizational, problem solving, and time-management skills

· Ability to prioritize among competing goals to execute on tight deadlines
