HVAC Mechanical Engineer – Competitive – Germantown, MD The Role Are you an experienced HVAC Mechanical Engineer with experience in the architectural industry? If so, Weigand Associates want to hear from you regarding our immediate opening. Working on an extensive portfolio of high-profile projects, the successful candidate will design HVAC systems for architecture utilizing both Revit and AutoCAD. The key responsibilities of a HVAC Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to: Perform Engineering assessments and investigations. Prepare HVAC specifications and cost estimates. Perform Load Calculations and ductwork sizing, and equipment selection. Review and respond to RFI’s, attend construction progress meeting. Provide punch list and closeout documents. The Person The key skills and qualities of a HVAC Mechanical Engineer include: Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. FE/PE required. Experience working within the Architectural industry Working knowledge of Revit is required. Candidate should possess good communication skills, including technical writing. An understanding of architecture and building construction, able to coordinate with other disciplines, and meet the functional engineering needs of the project. Expertise with normal office software is required, including: MS Word, Excel, etc. United States citizen preferred.
