Position: Automation Engineer / Sr Systems Administrator [Requisition: 202211313]

Job Description: The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) is a major command of the United States Army headquartered at Fort Eustis, Virginia. It is charged with overseeing the training of Army forces and the development of operational doctrine. TRADOC recruits, trains, educates, develops, and builds the Army, establishes standards, drives improvement, and leads change to ensure the Army can deter, fight, and win on any battlefield now and into the future. This TRADOC Cloud & Ancillary Support Services (TCASS) contract includes objectives and tasks for cloud migration planning services to include: Inventory (Users, Applications, Infrastructure, Security & Privacy, Services Management); Application Mapping and Assessment; Migration Planning, Migration Services, and Cloud Support Services, Operations & Maintenance (CSS-O&M). This effort also includes DCS G-6 objectives and tasks required to support the Army Data Management Plan (ADMP), the Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS), and SharePoint Administration Services. The main driver of this effort is the benefit of an integrated solution provider to support the HQ TRADOC DCS G6 as it executes HQ DA directives for cloud migration, data center consolidation, data management, portfolio management, risk management framework, and information system continuous monitoring.
· Expertise, knowledge, and hands-on support of a specific family of systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
· Possess a deep and broad knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks.
· Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting our customer’s computer systems.
· Perform software installations and upgrades
· Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
· Develop and promote standard operating procedures
· Ensure proper security practices that are in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
· Show initiative and act independently to resolve problems, manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects/tasks
· Managing local physical workstations, print and file servers.
· Identifying, analyzing, and effecting the resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
· Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining training content software;
· Installing cable systems, and integrating and connecting ECR workstations;
· System testing; System and user documentation;
· Admin and user training
· Analyze and maintain site-specific configuration documentation including:
· Installation guides for applications and images;
· Configuration guides for servers and workstations (physical or virtual);
· Artifacts for the development of the required certification and accreditation packages;
· Quality assurance of the compliance posture and compliance with licensing agreements.
· Record detailed and qualified resolutions in the system,
· Comply with the change request process to ensure changes to the enterprise are in accordance with the configuration management (CM) process.
Required Experience:
· 10+ years of relevant experience (with MA/MS).
· 12+ years’ experience (with BA/BS)
· Expertise in technical engineering methods and standards.
· Ability to develop and implement technical solutions geared towards automation advancement within the enterprise environment.
· Strong self-starter attitude, team oriented and good communication skills are a must.
· Willingness to commit to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding written and oral communication.
· Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with team on assigned tasks, expectations, and schedule.
· Sharp attention to detail; Organized; time management skills to forecast and stay ahead of deliverables/reporting requirements
· Must be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks, and be adaptable to change to accomplish assignments.
· Excellent Customer Focus/Satisfaction skills
Preferred Experience:
· Have a detailed understanding of the configuration, management, and use of security information and event management (SIEM) software, to include properly reacting to SIEM events.
· Manage the system vulnerability identification and resolution process in order to support network accreditation process.
· Ability to use the latest versions of the following: Microsoft Operating Systems; Microsoft Office; Microsoft SharePoint; MS active Directory Admin or Linux based platforms
Education: Associates Degree or higher required.
Certifications: IAT Level III (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP) and applicable Computing Environment (CE) Certification
Clearance Required: Candidate must be a US Citizen, and have at least a SECRET clearance.
