Summary of Splunk Administrator:

Assist with day-to-day operations of StubHub's Splunk ES, Splunk and Syslog-ng platforms under guidance of StubHub's operations management. This position's main duties will be around operational upgrades, efficiency, data flow, data protection, and end user support.

Responsibilities:

  • On-going maintenance, repair and patching SH's various Splunk platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen use cases while providing professional support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all assets are delivered within deadlines, including documentation/run-books and correct ticket management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver dashboards, apps, alerts, data models and integrations
  • Enhance Splunk internal/self monitoring
  • Data on-boarding and curation
  • Advise on business requests, operational and compliance data to drive best practice results.

Qualifications:

  • Security minded
  • Familiarity with web standards and protocols. HTML knowledge is a must.
  • Strong knowledge Splunk (Splunk Administrative certificate preferred) 2+ years
  • Proven experience around PCI and SOX compliance
  • Comfortable in BASH and 2+ years of Linux experience.
  • Python 2.x programming a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Splunk or Elastic Search certifications highly desired
  • Operating system certifications such as RHCE and MCSE highly desired.
  • Security Certifications a big plus (PCIP, CISSP, CASP, CEH, OSCP etc)
