e4 is a Healthcare Consulting firm based in Philadelphia established in 2006. We currently have a growing staff that represent us at healthcare organizations across the US with a large presence in the mid-atlantic region. We provide healthcare IT and operational support. Our services include project management and SME support for system implementations and conversions, including Clinical, HIM, CDI, Coding, IT and Rev Cycle.

Looking for a seasoned networking analyst to aid the client with a variety of needs in networking/infrastructure.

Job responsibilities

  • Apply solid knowledge of network technologies to perform network administration support and analysis functions to ensure the uptime, performance, resource availability and security of the networks, according to operational guidelines.
  • Monitor network devices, interfaces, and applications for connectivity and optimal performance.
  • Provide network support to users; identify and troubleshoot routine to moderately complex, problems.
  • Communicate networking issues to internal or external customers and to Management.
  • Identify opportunities for how network performance can be improved.
  • Monitor network devices, interfaces, and applications via LogicMonitor.
  • Correlate multiple network and customer issues identified with alarms/alerts received.
  • Create and track incident tickets and assignments.
  • Ensure issue outage notification event communications.
  • Initiate major outage communication technical bridges.
  • Complete service level tasks including IP address requests, DNS requests, and account provisioning requests.
  • Install and test network software including upgrades, fixes, and patches.
  • Implement and utilize network monitoring and performance tools.
  • Perform periodic cabling efforts (installs, changes, removals).
  • Work independently and receive general guidance on new work activity.


  • Experience with network security, data, LAN/WAN, cloud solutions, and voice technologies.
  • Working system engineering/design, progressive IT experience with a focus on infrastructure services, and supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading/managing a technical team.
  • Technical Knowledge - LAN/WAN/WLAN, Firewall, VoIP, and Cloud Computing technologies; SAN/VMWare, Microsoft AD and Exchange, Backup and Disaster Recovery strategies.
  • Understanding of Standard Healthcare Messaging and Transaction Types - HL7, HL& CDA, Dicom, CCR, CCOW, LOINC, ELINCS, X12, SONMED, NCPDP
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Integration Standards and Committees - IHE, CCHIT, HITSP
  • Strong knowledge and experience with data and voice hardware and software technology, file interchange, shared network resources, Internet access, and electronic mail.
  • Demonstrated strong analytic, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent experience.
