deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research is seeking a Systems Engineer, with 3+ years of experience, to recommend solutions to technical problems and translate customer requirements into hardware, software, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities Include:

• Performing functional analysis, analyzing, and designing system capabilities by decomposing larger system capabilities.
• Deriving functional and component level requirements by developing use cases, functional diagrams, user interface design, and interface documents.
• Assisting the management team with preparing and updating schedules and budget.
• Creating and presenting design documentation and participating in lifecycle reviews of software components.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience using version control, and issue track software
• Demonstrated experience communicating technical material

Special Skills Desired:

• Understanding radar signal and data processing
• Familiarity with X-band radars
• Knowledge of Army and NATO Tactical Data Link Standards
• Rotocraft/aircraft system engineering experience
• Linux/MATLAB
