Maintenance Mechanic II will maintain and repair all plant equipment for the Food Manufacturing plant, including boiler and wastewater systems, packaging department, and manufacturing food process machinery. The qualified candidate will be a full journeyman in the Maintenance department.

Job Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Repair and maintain high-speed production equipment
  • Practice safe work habits and wear proper PPE
  • Follows proper lockout tag-out procedures as required
  • Complete all OSHA required training, correct and report any unsafe conditions as necessary
  • Complete work orders and assignments on time without errors as directed by supervisor or manager
  • Perform package change-overs on equipment as required
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections, adjustments, and repairs as indicated on the CMMS program
  • Participate in daily meetings and reports maintenance department objectives and opportunities
  • Install / rebuild equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems
  • Develop preventive maintenance needs and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems of food processing and industrial machinery in a timely manner
  • Independently perform all assignments after being given general instructions as to the results expected
  • Coordinate several projects at the same time while prioritizing completing demands of the time frames
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma Required
  • Electrical and mechanical certification is a plus
  • Must have hands-on knowledge of boiler, mechanical fluid power, pneumatic systems. Familiar with machine shop environment
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, repair and maintain all equipment in accordance with the plant’s policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have a good understanding of preventive predictive maintenance operations
  • Strong verbal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts and the flexibility to work on a flexible full-time schedule and that may include weekends and holidays
  • Able to walk, stand for extended periods of time, sit and talk or hear regularly
  • Able to use both hands and fingers to feel or handle, sit for extended periods of time, stand frequently, bend, squat, reach and turn
  • Able to adapt to temperature changes of extreme hot and cold conditions
  • Ability to handle heights and confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds - may require a push or pull with a dolly or pallet jack up to 500 lbs
  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s license
