1. POSITION SUMMARY

- Directly report to the Head of Market Access (L2)* to facilitate the designing and implementing strategic plans and strategies in building strong business relationships with all the providers across the United States (e.g., large hospital systems, IDNs, community-based oncology practices, academic institutions and etc.)

- Lead a team of key account managers (provider-facing) to implement strategies and tactics (e.g., contracting, engaging with P&T committee) to successfully engage with providers to ensure pull-through sales of the company's products (biosimilars)

- Provide guidance to the Leadership Team on emerging trends, market dynamics, federal and state policy and implications for business and patients.

* Due to the current state of the company's organization, the Head of Market Access slot may be vacant at the time of the Key Account Director's employment. However, the company will employ the Head of Market Access to oversee the entire market access function (for both the payer and provider-facing side)

2. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Directly report to the Head of Market Access (L2) to facilitate the designing and implementing strategic plans and strategies in building strong business relationships with all the providers across the entire United States (e.g., large hospital systems, IDNs, community-based oncology and immunology practices, academic institutions etc.)

- Responsible for all aspects of Market Access (provider-facing) including the development and execution of market access (provider-facing) strategies and field-based key account manager management

- Lead a team of key account managers (provider-facing) to develop and implement contracting strategy/process and executional pull through with customer stakeholders (e.g., Hospitals, IDNs and Clinics/Practices).

- Responsible for coaching the key account managers (KAMs) to enhance the understanding of the company's overall market access strategy (provider-facing) and to evaluate the KPIs of the respective KAMs

- Responsible for overseeing, managing, and developing KAMs engagement strategies with C-suite executives, account business leaders, pharmacy and administrative personnel, and other decision makers within priority accounts to discuss, present, and negotiate pricing and contracting terms and conditions, and to present the company's biosimilar product/portfolio value proposition.

- Provide guidance to the Head of Market Access (L2) or in some cases, C-Suite level within the company on emerging trends, market dynamics, federal and state policy, and implications regarding the provider-facing market access activities

3. WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 12 years of experience as key account manager (provider-facing)

- Minimum 2 years of experience in leading a team of key account managers

- Work experience in pharmaceutical industry is required (especially, for monoclonal antibody biosimilars)

4. SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional colleagues
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for effective conflict resolution
- Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients requirements
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

5. EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Business Science or equivalent
- Relevant work experience is preferred
