aio, LLC, a private holding company based in beautiful Honolulu, HI, manages investments in a diverse portfolio of locally-owned businesses such as HONOLULU Magazine, ESPN Honolulu, and Aio Digital, LLC. We're committed to fostering the growth and development of our local economy, and we're excited to bring an Accounting/Finance Intern into our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

As an Accounting/Finance Intern, you will:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Perform regular financial reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to keep financial records accurate and up to date.
• Assist with the monthly billing cycle, helping to ensure that all invoices are issued correctly, and payments are received promptly.
• Support ad hoc finance projects, providing analytical insights to help guide decision-making.
• Collaborate with our team to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

We're looking for candidates who:

• Are working towards or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
• Understand systems, technology, and integrations.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and can effectively communicate with different stakeholders.
• Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Are familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
