Job Description: The Digital Content Specialist works with the Lead Consultant and is there as a support person to help oversee all content-related needs and deliverables for the client base. In most cases, the Lead Consultant will delegate to the Digital Content Specialist as needed - but in some processes (like creating blog posts, etc.) the Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for overseeing that task and will work directly with the client (keeping the Consultant looped in on everything.) Below is a breakdown of what this role includes (but is not limited to):
Onboarding Clients and Developing Strategy:
- The Digital Content Specialist will support the Consultant in key areas of the strategy development during the discovery and onboarding stage - this typically includes:
- Blog audit
- Content audit
- Development of a style guide
- Keyword research / SEO strategy
- Development of the Content Calendar
- Using the buyer’s journey for content mapping
- Developing title ideas out of brainstorms and research
Content Creation:
- Oversee management and creation of all content needs for the client including:
- Management of the Content Calendar and content tracking
- Research and outline creation
- Managing writers and designers / submitting
- Editing and proofing all content so it’s publish-ready
- Submitting content approvals to client
- Providing design direction as needed
- Uploading blog posts
- Track all expenses and numbers related to content creation for clients including:
- Blog posts/content created each month by client and type of content
- Cost of each
- Total expenses on monthly basis
Copywriting:
- Support the Lead Consultant with copywriting needs as needed including:
- Landing pages
- CTAs
- Website pages
- Emails
- Social media posts
Ongoing Consulting:
While the Digital Content Specialist does not need to be on all the consulting calls, they will be available to be on any where content is a major topic. They may run some meetings when it makes sense based on the topic and client.
Reporting:
Be able to pull content related data and build reports to share with client around content performance.
