Job Summary:

The Zilliant Sales organization is growing and searching for a Business Solutions Consultant to join our team.  Business Solutions Consultants have a high-impact role in helping Zilliant's prospective customers understand the benefits of our pricing and sales-effectiveness solutions and evaluate them properly in a highly competitive landscape.

Location: Austin, TX or Remote/Telecommute/Work From Home

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with prospective B2B customers to identify specific areas where the customer is experiencing problems
  • Quantify the impact of those problems and the potential benefits of solving them; explain and demonstrate how Zilliants solutions fit within the customer's business to address those problems and define the tailored solution approach for each customer
  • Leading pre-sales diagnostic activities, analyzing large-scale transaction data to identify & quantify potential opportunities, specifying, and preparing custom software demonstrations
  • Communicating solution recommendations and expected financial uplift to senior business leaders and stakeholders
  • Providing valuable customer-driven insight to Zilliants product management team about feature-function enhancements for Zilliant's software solutions


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to independently develop and deliver compelling software demonstrations to a broad set of project stakeholders including senior business executives, strongly connecting the value of our solutions to the deepest needs of their business
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills (business consulting, technology assessments, math & statistics modeling, financial analysis)
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to:
    • Bring insightful findings to prospects regarding their business, best practices within their industry, and the power of data and algorithms to help achieve their business objectives
    • Relate Zilliant success stories from other customers and industries to explain the solution approach, overcome objections, and build confidence
    • Describe our technology stack, integration capabilities, reporting capabilities, core application features & functions, and data science capabilities
  • Superior client facilitation skills when working across a broad range of executive, sales, pricing, and IT stakeholders in pre-sales activities.  Includes in-room facilitation as well as post-meeting follow-up for committed deliverables.
  • 5 - 10 years overall, high-impact experience in customer-facing, consultative, problem-solving roles in B2B Manufacturing & Distribution arenas
  • 2 - 4 years of front-line strategy, pricing, or business process consulting experience in B2B Manufacturing & Distribution
  • 1 - 3 years of software/technology experience, preferably with a SaaS-based, analytics-intensive software solution provider in a pre-sales role 
  • Cross-industry experience a plus, specifically B2B or B2C pricing and sales-effectiveness-related roles
  • Data visualization tools experience a plus, specifically Tableau
  • High integrity, high energy, and strong team-centered work ethic 
  • Willing to travel an average of 2 to 3 days per week
  • Location is flexible
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field, financial field, or business with an analytical focus.  MBA or masters is desired.

Experience / Technical Requirements:

  • 5 - 10 years overall, high-impact experience in customer-facing, consultative, problem-solving roles in B2B Manufacturing & Distribution arenas
  • 2 - 4 years of front-line strategy, pricing, or business process consulting experience in B2B Manufacturing & Distribution
  • 1 - 3 years of software/technology experience, preferably with a SaaS-based, analytics-intensive software solution provider in a pre-sales role
