Application Engineer - Charlotte, NC

At ZEISS an applications engineer provides a dynamic array of metrology solutions for our customers. Our time is divided between training and consulting amongst the different manufacturing and quality industries. Our solutions consist of leading-edge technologies in the field of computed tomography and traditional coordinate metrology.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• A four-year degree in Engineering, Math or Physics. Alternatively, or relevant Metrology industry experience.
• Calypso or GOM Inspect Software experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings for dimensional control requirements.
• Previous experience with ZIESS Coordinate Measuring Machines is a plus.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn independently to find solutions to potential customer’s problems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly describe a problem statement and create concise technical report of the solution.
