The Opportunity:

Zeal Credit Union is seeking a Process Specialist who will find opportunities to improve processes, products, services, and vendor relationships, develops solutions, identifies resources needed (including RPA and AI) and executes plans. Additionally, someone who can develop operational dashboards to set performance measures, track progress and ensure Senior Leadership Team expectations are met. This is a highly collaborative role.

As a Process Specialist, you will:

  • Act as operational excellence liaison to assigned business units.
  • Provide high level expertise and skills and consulting.
  • Understand organizational strategy and assists department management in aligning operations to strategy.
  • Design, create, and implement the organization's operational systems including, but not limited to:
    • Process Systems (workflows, procedures, process documentation, etc.)
    • Vendor Systems (vendor performance standards, performance analysis, alignment to strategic objective, etc.)
    • Contract Systems (analyzes, contracts terms and ensures contract provisions & benefits are documented)
    • Business Applications (works with management and vendors to ensure computer applications and software are optimized)
  • Collaborate with assigned business units to analyze processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and efficiencies.
  • Possess strong user knowledge of applications for assigned business units.
  • Support & monitor operations to make it Measurable, Repeatable and Predictable.
  • Drive business operational transformation business plans.
  • Engage upfront in solutioning and transitioning process re-engineering and automation initiatives aligned to strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Understand, train, facilitate, and lead lean methodologies within assigned business units and Artificial Intelligence within assigned business units and assists in the implementation of automation to improve efficiencies and member experiences.
  • Work with Senior Management Team and management to define operational measurables and KPIs, tracks progress and communicates progress of measurables through dashboards and reporting.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 3 years financial institution experience or process improvement and documentation experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Pleasant and professional demeanor
  • Dependable

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies
  • Experience in process redesign
