Systems Administrator

ZGF is seeking a motivated and self-directed Systems Administrator to join our team. This position is based in our 100-person Washington, DC office and will assume responsibility for the configuration and maintenance of server systems local to this site as well as our 50-person New York City office. This role will collaborate with the entire Technology team across six North American offices implementing firm-wide initiatives and assisting with high-quality cross-office support. A successful candidate will be a strong team player and be eager to learn and thrive in a multi-tasking environment.

As a Systems Administrator, you will....

• Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation
• Manage system backup/recovery and archival operations
• Contribute to and maintain firmwide system standards and procedures
• Maintain VMware vSphere server virtualization infrastructure
• Maintain VMware Horizon desktop virtualization infrastructure
• Maintain storage and iSCSI storage area networks (SAN)
• Maintain Active Directory environment
• Monitor and maintain data center equipment and environment
• Maintain system security, manage appropriate access control for users
• Support voice, video, and collaboration systems
• Maintain and upgrade email systems
• Document procedures, systems and changes to systems
• Monitor and evaluate health of all systems including Active Directory, Storage, virtualization, server hardware and software
• Provide advanced assistance to the Desktop Support team
• Provide on-call availability after hours and on weekends

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in systems administration
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related relevant experience
• Good work ethic - timely, team-player, honest, dependable, conscientious, respectful, and accountable; Exhibit sound judgment and possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to plan and perform assignments as an integrated, cooperative team member while simultaneously, at times, be able to operate independently with minimal or no supervision
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; Organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous and ongoing tasks with high attention to detail
• Absolute honesty and trustworthiness; personal and professional integrity
• Sensitive and responsive to the time-critical nature of our employees' deadline-driven work
• Creative problem-solver with a willingness to contribute to firm-wide initiatives
• Experience managing and maintaining Active Directory environments including user/computer accounts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS/DFSR, health monitoring, upgrades, and Azure AD synchronization
• Experience managing and maintaining Windows Server environments including Exchange, WSUS, SCCM, WDS, Data Protection Manager, iSCSI SAN, VMware, wireless mobility devices, printers/plotters, and office productivity and graphics software applications
• Experience managing and maintaining Office 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD
• Advanced knowledge of current Windows Server and client operating systems
• Experience installing, maintaining, upgrading rack server and storage hardware systems
• General understanding of scripted automation using PowerShell and other tools
• Strong understanding of system security fundamentals
• Experience using infrastructure operations management/monitoring tools
• Able to periodically travel to other ZGF offices (New York, in particular) as required for infrastructure support
• Occasionally requires ability to lift and carry various technology equipment
• (Preferred) Understanding of the application of technology to architectural processes
• (Preferred) Professional certification
