DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence.
- Participates in first time production runs of new products.
- Performs a wide range of fine motor skilled tasks, working with small objects.
- Assembles, modifies, reworks, and/or reassembles production components utilizing drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions.
- Prepares and utilizes basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to power screwdriver, ruler, solder iron, heat gun, vise, crimpers, pinning machine, and automatic wire strippers.
- Cleans parts prior to production use as required.
- Supports cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures.
- Participates in continuous improvement and team building activities; maintains productive working relationships with all team members.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all applicable safety regulations and considerations.
- Performs clean-up and tool inventory activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to identify colors.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Hard working and detail oriented.
- Flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand/sit
- Frequently required to walk
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasionally required to balance, bend, stoop, or kneel
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
- Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to lift/push/carry items more than 25 pounds
- Continually work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work around fumes and/or airborne particles
- Frequently loud noise (examples: welding, saws)
