RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Creative Project Manager drives operational excellence across our in-house Creative Marketing team. In this position, you’ll be responsible for request intake to delivery including processes, workflows, and tasks milestones. You will manage the efficiency of resource management, capacity planning, content mapping, and asset delivery. You will work directly with both internal and external creatives to understand resource availability and production solutions to service the creative requests that are received.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Creative Marketing. As part of the Creative Leadership Team, you’ll build an inclusive, inspiring working environment for the creative team that enables them to deliver groundbreaking creative content that fulfills marketing objectives. In this leadership role, you will provide direction for Creative Operations team members including our creative project manager and creative producer.

Creative Operations
  • Lead Creative Team planning including functional team planning
  • Manage workflows to enable operational excellence within the creative team
  • Manage and update project management data for dashboard reporting
  • Identify, develop, and execute new processes that enable creatives to be more effective in their day-to-day work, including executional excellence in data reliability, ZAGGdam uploads, campaign analysis, task fulfillment reporting, etc.
  • Lead task traffic management for cross-functional efforts within the creative team
  • Direct all creative project timelines, from initiation to delivery of assets
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Product, and Operations to initiate project tasks
  • Define product launch deliverables with the product marketing managers and your creative operations team
  • Align creative process with product manufacturing timelines and inform task owners on shifting dates and timelines
  • Attend all product launch kickoffs to understand the objectives and strategies in obtaining a successful launch
  • Oversee production task timelines of design, copy, imaging, photography, video, advertising, and social tasks from inception to completion and delivery
  • Facilitate task reporting and communication with task owners, creative leads, production leads, and creative director
  • Direct and manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and create contingency plans while collaborating with project requesters
  • Collaborate with Creative, Digital, Brand, Product Marketing, Channel, PR, and Product teams to understand objectives, scope, and timelines
  • Direct and assist in the review of project request forms, collaborate with requesters on production timelines, scope, descriptions, etc. (enforce a 24-hour request submission expectation)
  • Understand task priorities and update timelines across all functional areas of focus within the creative team
  • Follow-up with assigned Creative Leads that all projects are delivered on time, and obtain correct approvals using the approved digital routing guide
  • Direct and manage the dissemination of task information among task owners
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress, and report progress
Creative Leadership and Marketing Leadership Teams
  • Manage resource availability and allocation, removing roadblocks as they occur
  • Direct and manage the assignment of tasks to appropriate creative team members as well as track project milestones and deliverables
  • Measure and report on project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Promote positive relationships with project owners and task owners
  • Ensure creative planning meetings, daily huddles, concept reviews and team sync-ups are scheduled and are led when necessary
Creative Operations Leadership
  • Oversee the integration and implementation of Creative project management process and workflow 
  • Assist in process alignment and improvements during Marketing strategic leadership meetings and collaborations
  • Provide creative KPI data and review dashboard insights with the Marketing Leadership team.
  • Attend go-to-market meetings and represent Creative by reporting on progress and readiness of assigned projects/tasks
  • Oversee the review of workflows to ensure task outlines and scope of work (SOW) is implemented correctly
  • Direct and update global process and workflow documents
  • Oversee project management tools and digital asset management software including file structure, sharing, permissions, archiving, and contracts, etc.
  • Manage seats, user training and company-wide implementation of project management tools
  • Train the creative operations team and facilitate new technology updates from our tools and software
  • Evaluate project management software to identify problems that informs tool providers and users of inconsistencies, solutions, and software updates
  • Train and mentor creative operations team on processes, best practices, and global project management objectives
  • Perform monthly improvement reviews with creative operations team members
  • Organize and lead weekly project and task prioritization meetings
  • Attend weekly marcom, go-to-market, channel, and product planning meetings
  • Build strategic routing workflows and develop templated tasks to be used for incoming requests in digital routing tool
  • Monitor and update the digital routing guide and routing responsibilities
  • Communicate campaign workflows, lead times, and digital routing updates to marketing and product stakeholders
  • Review and reporting on global efficiencies and inefficiencies to leadership
  • Be an ally for Creative, creating a unified team between cross-departmental engagements and interactions
  • Mentor and coach creative operations team members through operational duties, developments, performances, and leadership
  • Represent creative operations in go-to-market discussions and meetings, taking notes, sharing input, and reporting back to Creative Leadership
  • Attend Creative Leadership meetings to report on rush projects, task timelines, resource management, product launch task management and delivery dates, NPI objectives, tools and training, operational changes, and new efficiencies, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
  •  Associates or bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of either in-house or agency (creative, advertising, or digital) experience in project management, project coordination, creative operations, creative production, and/or account management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in developing and refining processes and systems to align business and creative needs with marketing objectives
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or or cross-functional team leadership experience
  • Experience collaborating with internal resources and external resources to develop strategies that meet marketing objectives with established timelines
  • Experience building and leading large, effective, modern creative teams
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the talents and experience that make up a high-functioning creative team, and how to allocate those resources to drive success on every project/engagement
  • Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Adobe Acrobat preferred
  • Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
  • Experience in project management software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize requests for multiple team members

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or certifications in Marketing, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years in a project management role for a consumer products or technology company
